My last post (on hibernating or not) was posted long enough ago you’d think I decided to tuck myself away for the winter. But in fact, that couldn’t be further from the truth. This new year came with a bunch of new projects, of which one is setting up a new event: Where The Streets Have No Name. It’s a Gravel versus Mountain bike race set in the forest surrounding Lage Vuursche. Start and finish is located at the unique café/playground Buiten in de Kuil. There are two routes to choose from: Gravel (suggested weapon of choice: CX or Gravelbike) or Singletrack (an MTB is your friend here). Four segments of both routes overlap, and these will be timed. The fastest cyclist on these combined segments is our winner of the day. At the finish line all participants are treated to a burger, a beer, some music and firepits after the race. You are welcome to bring your non-cycling family and friends along too!
Everybody is invited, we have 100 spots available. Don’t be late! €25 buys you a pre-ride coffee, a well signposted route with serviced posts along the way. Plus you’ll get snacks, a beer, organic burger and live music. We’ll also be handing out some awesome prizes. So see you there!
Where The Streets Have No Name is proudly sponsored by: Buiten in de Kuil, BINK & Good Cycling.
The awesome artwork is made by TRLS, photography by Joost and route and organisation by Bon Courage, also know as Gijs Bruinsma, who I share this great office space with.
